About these reviews
The reviews above were left on Google by people who have bought, sold or part exchanged a watch with us. Google reviews are written by clients in their own words, and anyone can read the full set on our Google listing as well as here.
Reviews are a useful first impression, but they work best alongside the facts. Below we set out what you can expect when you deal with Kings & Queens Watches, how to leave a review of your own, and how to check the reputation of any watch dealer before you hand over money or a watch.
What to expect when you buy from us
Most reviews of a watch dealer come down to a few things: whether the watch was as described, whether the process was clear, and whether the dealer stood behind the sale. This is how buying works with us:
- Authentication first. Before any watch is offered for sale it is inspected and authenticated by experienced watch specialists, and its serial number, bracelet number, movement identifiers and case markings are recorded.
- Watches in stock. Every watch is physically here in stock and can be inspected before dispatch, unless its listing says otherwise.
- Clear listings. Each listing tells you whether the box and papers are included.
- A written warranty. Every pre-owned watch is covered by our 12-month mechanical warranty, running from the day it is delivered, unless its listing states otherwise. New watches are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
- Free, insured delivery. UK delivery is free, fully insured and signed for. Orders are prepared within 2 to 3 working days of payment clearing and tracked once dispatched. We ship internationally on most orders.
- Time to decide. You have 14 days to return a watch for a full refund, made to your original payment method once the watch has been returned and inspected.
For fraud prevention we may ask for identity or payment verification before dispatch, and we ship only to verified addresses. If you would like to hold a watch while you decide, a £100 deposit reserves it for 3 working days. The deposit is non-refundable, but on request it can be used as store credit towards another watch. Full details are on our warranty and delivery pages.
What to expect when you sell or part exchange
Sellers leave reviews too, and what matters to them is different: a fair, clear offer, no surprises and prompt payment. This is how selling works with us:
- A free valuation. Valuations are free, with no obligation to go ahead. For a quick initial figure, send photographs on WhatsApp.
- Bring the full set if you have it. Bring the watch with its box, papers and any spare links, as a complete set is valued higher. If you cannot visit, you can send the watch fully insured.
- A direct purchase. We buy watches directly for our own stock. We are not a broker and we do not take watches on consignment.
- Payment by bank transfer. Once a price is agreed and the watch is authenticated in person, payment is made by secure bank transfer. There are no hidden fees and no commission, so you receive the price we agree.
With a part exchange, the value of your watch is offset against the one you are buying in a single transaction, and if your watch is worth more, we pay you the difference. See how selling works for more.
Visiting our Hatton Garden showroom

If you plan to visit, it helps to know how appointments work. We are at 9 St. Cross Street, Hatton Garden, London EC1N 8UB. Farringdon and Chancery Lane stations are both within a short walk. Hatton Garden has been London's jewellery quarter for well over a century and is the centre of the UK diamond trade.
All viewings are by appointment, so your visit is private and uninterrupted. Appointments cover viewing and buying, selling or part exchanging, sourcing a specific watch, and general consultations. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10:30am to 5:30pm, and Saturday, 12:00pm to 4:30pm. We are closed on Sundays. See our Hatton Garden showroom or book an appointment.
Preparing for your appointment
A little preparation makes the most of a visit. When you book, let us know which watches you would like to see, or which reference you are hoping to find, so the conversation can start in the right place. If you are selling or part exchanging, bring the watch with its box, papers and any spare links, together with any receipts or service records you have.
There is no pressure to decide anything on the day. Many decisions about a watch are better made after a second look, and our valuations come with no obligation.
How to leave a Google review
If you have bought, sold or part exchanged a watch with us, we would be grateful for a review. It takes a couple of minutes and helps other people decide whether we are right for them. You will need a Google account.
- Find us on Google. Search for "Kings & Queens Watches Hatton Garden" in Google Search or Google Maps.
- Open the reviews. On our listing, open the reviews section and choose the option to write a review.
- Choose a star rating. Pick the number of stars that reflects your experience.
- Describe what happened. Say whether you bought, sold or part exchanged, and what stood out, good or bad.
- Post it. You can add photographs if you wish. Your review appears under your Google name.
Reviews are linked to your Google account, so you can edit or delete yours later if you want to.
What makes a review useful to other buyers
The most helpful reviews are specific. Rather than "great service", a reader learns far more from what you did, how long it took and how you were treated. A few things worth mentioning:
- Whether you were buying, selling or part exchanging
- Whether the watch matched its description and photographs
- How clearly the process, price and terms were explained
- How delivery or payment went
- Anything that could have been better
Please leave out personal details such as your address, and do not post serial numbers or photographs of your papers. A photograph of the watch on your wrist is plenty.
How to check any watch dealer's reputation
Online reviews are only one source. Whoever you are thinking of buying from or selling to, these checks give you a more complete picture. They are the same checks we would suggest to a friend.
- Read reviews over time. Look at the most recent reviews and the oldest. A steady record over a long period says more than a recent burst.
- Look for detail. Genuine reviews tend to describe a particular watch or experience. Be cautious if many reviews are short, vague and posted within a few days of each other.
- Read the critical reviews. No business pleases everyone. What matters is what the complaint was about and how the business responded.
- Check more than one platform. Compare reviews on Google with what you find elsewhere, including forums where collectors discuss dealers.
- Check that the business is real. Look for a physical address you can visit and a landline. Limited companies in the UK appear on the public Companies House register, where you can check the company name and how long it has existed.
- Get the terms in writing. Ask about authentication, warranty and returns before you pay, and make sure the answers are in writing.
- Watch how you are asked to pay. Be wary of requests to pay a personal account, a third party or a name that does not match the business.
Questions to ask before you buy
Good reviews make a dealer worth talking to. The answers to a few direct questions tell you whether the watch is worth buying. Any reputable dealer should answer these clearly:
- Who authenticated the watch, and what did they check?
- Is the watch in stock, and can I see it or ask for more photographs?
- Does it come with its box and papers, and does the serial on the papers match the watch?
- What warranty do you give, for how long, and what does it cover?
- Can I return the watch if it is not right for me, and how is the refund made?
- Is delivery insured and signed for?
Questions to ask before you sell
Selling a watch is a bigger step than many people expect, and the terms matter as much as the price. Before you agree to anything, ask:
- Are you buying the watch yourselves, or selling it on my behalf on consignment?
- Are there any fees or commission, or is the agreed price what I receive?
- When and how will I be paid?
- What happens if the inspection finds something different from my description?
- If I send the watch, is it insured in transit?
Our own answers are set out above: we buy directly, there are no hidden fees or commission, and payment is made by secure bank transfer once a price is agreed and the watch is authenticated in person.
Warning signs in dealer reviews
Patterns in reviews can tell you as much as the star rating. Take note if several reviews mention the same problem, such as watches arriving in a different condition from the photographs, delays in payment to sellers, or difficulty returning a watch. Be equally careful if a business has no reviews at all, or if its reviews mention a different name or address from the one you are dealing with.
A dealer who answers criticism politely and explains what they did to put things right is usually a better sign than one with no visible complaints but no detail either.

Sourcing and aftercare
Not every client finds the watch they want in our listings on the day. We source specific watches for clients on request, so if you are looking for a particular reference, dial or year, tell us what you have in mind and we will let you know what we can find.
After you buy, our sister business Alpha Group, in the same building, carries out watch servicing, repairs and restoration. See Service & Repairs.
Reviews are one part of the picture
Even the best reviews cannot tell you about the specific watch you are considering. That is why we suggest using reviews to decide who to talk to, and then using your own checks to decide what to buy. Our guide to buying a pre-owned Rolex explains the checks worth making on any watch, from matching numbers to condition and originality.
For clarity, Kings & Queens Watches is an independent luxury watch dealer. We are not an authorised dealer for any brand, we are not part of Rolex Certified Pre-Owned and we are not affiliated with any watch brand. We deal in Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Richard Mille, Cartier and Hublot, and our sister business, Alpha Group, in the same building, provides watch servicing, repairs and restoration.

They are reviews our clients have left on Google. You can also read them directly on our Google listing.
Can I leave a review if I sold a watch to you?

Can I change or remove my review later?
Yes. Google reviews are linked to your Google account, so you can edit or delete yours whenever you like.
What should I do if something is not right with my purchase?
Please contact us first on 0330 043 7777, on WhatsApp at +44 (0)7888 888835 or through our contact page. You have 14 days to return a watch for a full refund, and pre-owned watches carry our 12-month mechanical warranty unless the listing says otherwise.

No. We are an independent dealer in Hatton Garden and are not affiliated with any watch brand. Every watch we sell is inspected and authenticated by experienced watch specialists before it is offered for sale.
How can I tell if a dealer's reviews are trustworthy?
Read reviews over a long period and across more than one platform, look for specific detail, and see how the business responds to criticism. Then check the basics yourself: a real address, clear written terms and a safe way to pay.
