Unless the listing says otherwise, every pre-owned watch you buy from Kings & Queens Watches comes with our 12-month mechanical warranty, starting from the day it is delivered.
Before any watch is offered for sale it is inspected and authenticated by experienced watch specialists, and its serial number, bracelet number, movement identifiers and case markings are recorded. The warranty is there for the rare occasion something goes wrong after that.
What the warranty covers
- The internal mechanical movement
- Faults in the movement caused by manufacturing defects
What it does not cover
- Accidental damage
- Water damage
- Misuse or neglect
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage to cases, bracelets, clasps or crystals
- Unauthorised repairs or modifications
Who it applies to
The warranty applies to the original purchaser and needs a valid copy of the invoice, so please keep yours with the watch's papers.
Unworn and brand-new watches
Brand-new watches are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty instead of ours. Where any watch is still within a manufacturer's warranty, the manufacturer's terms apply. Whether a watch comes with its original box, warranty card or documentation is always stated in the product listing.
How to make a claim
- Contact us first. Call 0330 043 7777 or get in touch here and tell us what has happened.
- Return the watch for inspection. Warranty claims are assessed by returning the watch to us so it can be inspected.
- Repair. Where the fault is covered, the repair is carried out by our trusted and approved watchmakers or professional service partners.
If a watch arrives faulty
Your rights on delivery
A warranty is for problems that develop later. If a watch arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or materially different from its description, contact us straight away. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund, and we will cover carriage both ways. Please report any concern about condition within 48 hours of delivery.
Looking after your watch
We recommend a full service every three to five years to keep a mechanical watch running well. See Service & Repairs for what that involves.
